The installation - named “Brighter in the Dark” - was created in partnership with Google Pixel & Coachella headliner Childish Gambino and opened to the public on the Coachella Festival-grounds. The event offers a lot of distractions, but few opportunities to truly connect with an artist outside of the stage experience. By creating a series of “temples” dedicated to our primary means of connection to people and art (vision and hearing), we gave audiences a chance to step away from the madness and find moments of deep connection. This is a fully sensory experience connecting fans to elements of the Gambino universe. The experience yielded over 101M press impressions and 67% increase in Google’s social engagement over Coachella 2018.
